Small Dogs, Our Companions for Over 50 Years
The longest-running dog store in South Korea, passed down through 3 generations.
“1970” — the KDA Dog Show, organized by the U.S. military in Korea. Our first national champion in Korea.
THE BEGINNING
It Started With a Girl Who Loved Dogs
In 1970, a Korean girl who loved dogs with all her heart met a purebred dog for the first time — and that was the beginning of YOUR PET.
She loved dogs with total dedication — bringing Korean dog breeds to the world’s attention, and among the first to insist that even small dogs have lives of their own, not just objects.
Her generation was the first to drop the words “buy” and “sell” when it came to dogs — replacing them with “lifelong companion,” “rehoming,” and “adoption” instead.
With more love and care than anyone else, this family sparked a new culture of pet care in Korea.
What we changed
What This Family Changed Forever
Before “lifelong companion” became a common term in Korea
From Product to Life
Among the first in Korea to insist that a dog is a life, not merchandise in a store.
Changed the Words We Use
Dropped "buy-sell" for "lifelong companion," "rehoming," and "adoption."
Principles and Ethics
We've held onto these two things since the days when the market had no standards — and we've never changed.
Passed Down Through 3 Generations
Knowledge of breeding and care passed down within a single family.
OUR PRINCIPLES
Principles and Ethics That Have Never Changed in 3 Generations
YOUR PET is a brand that has held onto “principles” and “ethics” since the earliest days, when Korea’s dog trading market had no standards at all — and has earned continuous trust up to this day.
With knowledge built up over 3 generations, we’ve established new systems for handover and care — and made sure every owner has the right knowledge.
